You should also consider the nearby Church of San Mary & Donato which boasts a magnificent mosaic pavement laid-down in the 12th Century.

The Island of Burano is the most picturesque of Venetian Islands of the Lagoon.
Famous for its lace-making industry, the pretty fishing village has its streets and canals lined by pastel coloured houses.
Here you can also see examples of the famous local craft of lace-making while strolling around this enchanting island.
