Located in the center of Florence No direct bus service from the station, only from nearby Via della Scala (11,36,37) and Via Rucellai (B). The Gallery, which is situated on the second floor of the Pitti Palace , has a fine collection of paintings and sculpture, mostly Italian, dating from the late 18th century to World War I. The elegant rooms, which were formerly inhabited by the Lorraine grand-dukes, are decorated with works of the neo-classical and romantic periods. There is also a splendid collection of works by artists of the Macchiaioli movement and of other Italian schools of the later 19th and early 20th centuries. NOTES: - Last Admission: 12.30PM - Museum entrance rules: You must be at the museum 30 minutes before your scheduled entrance time to redeem your tickets - Your reservation vouchers will be delivered to you only after we process your request and confirm the reservation. At a minimum it takes from 1 to 2 business days to process your request - You will receive your vouchers by fax or e-mail if you will be leaving home too soon for the vouchers to be shipped.
