In this pleasant and warm local, full of verve and cordiality, you will enjoy the elegant service and the refined food superbly cooked by chef Vittorio Fusari, who combines traditional dishes and original flavours with extraordinary ability. And to exalt his excellent creations, Chef Fusari proposes the best wines of Franciacorta. BARONE PIZZINI WINERY Barone Pizzini has chosen a few years ago to cultivate all their vineyards according to organic viticulture methods to preserve intact the characteristics that nature has been able to donate to grape. Vineyards cover 40 hectares, in the municipalities of Adro, Corte Franca, Provaglio and Passirano, particularly suitable places where cultivation of the wine goes back to ancient times. Pizzini wines are the result of care. First of all from the vineyard the grapes are harvested by hand and then transported in small crates to keep the berry perfectly intact; then the grapes are immediately transformed in the cellar, thanks to a system of light pressing and fermenting at controlled temperature. At the end wines rest up to four years in fresh and dark rooms before being put on the market. The results is clearness in wines, like all the other Franciacorta Docg that, with their 30 years of production, have made the company one of the most significant in Franciacorta. Frantoio Vertine Located in Sulzano on the shore of Lake Iseo, this oil mill is one of the best producers of oil with Denomination of Protected Origin in the area. Here you will be able to taste not only the oil but also local cheese and fish from the lake with bread and grissini. An expert agronomist will explain you the methods of production of oil and in particular of cheese.
WELLNESS Vitaespa SPA & Wellness Centre is an exclusive wellness centre raised inside a magnificent historic building dating from the twelfth, on the slopes of Franciacorta’s hills. For people loving nature: don’t miss the possibility to visit the gorgeous natural reserve “Torbiere del Sebino”, a green damp area of about 360 hectares created through the peat cutting and the drainage of the soil carried out between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The whole of this area is of great interest because of its location (the morainic amphitheatre of Franciacorta and the Sebino), for its natural scenery, and for certain historical and artistic features in the neighbourhood, especially the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa, that can be reached through an easy and beautiful walk. You will also have the possibility to admire the fish population and the particularly rich bird population, as seventeen species nest in this area.
For people loving food: we recommend a visit to La Nuova Fattoria, farm in the municipality of Pisogne 700 metres above sea level overlooking the Sebino, where they raises the Switzerland Saanen breed dairy goat. A modern dairy where you can taste caciotte, goats cheeses and ricotta sold directly in the company. The cooking offers dishes of goat cheese, salami production company with kid baked polenta, lamb chops. Everything products by the farm.
